More Views of Ormoc City

This beautiful view was photographed from the fourth floor of the Don Felipe Hotel, shown above, a great place to stay downtown.

When some folks speak of a picnic on the bay, they really mean it.
The Anilao River has been forced into this channel as one of the steps taken  to prevent a recurrence of the famous flood of 1991. On the north side of the bridge from which this photo was taken were thousands of squatter residents even late in the 1990s, but this is no longer tolerated.  Click here for many articles on this disaster.
The Mercado on the left, low cost shopping for everything from buttons to boat anchors.

The Transportation Center (Bus terminal is inadequate) is the place to catch a ride to hundreds of places by anything on wheels, from luxury bus to donkey cart. It is hidden behind the ferry terminal in the center.

The conveniently located Don Felipe Hotel is on the right.

The Supercat is the fastest way to reach Cebu City for shopping or that special evening of dining and the  theatre.  Click here for more info and schedules.
